Scarlet Restaurant and Vodka Bar
Formerly a night club before falling into total disrepair, this restaurant now shines as one of Allentown's golden bars. The interior was completely gutted before being rebuilt from the ground up. When I first saw Scarlet on opening night I couldn't believe my eyes - the attention to detail was unreal.
The showstopper is the intricate wooden staircase that looks like it's been there for a hundred years. First and second floor dining areas and a vodka tree that boasts the largest selections to choose from in the city. Fare ranges from soups, salads, chicken and pasta dishes to steaks.
Selections of interest: Loaded cottage fries, Strawberry Bruschetta, Arugula Stuffed Vidalia Onion Ring Salad, Fontina Cheese artichoke & asparagus grilled pizza.
