The Original Buffalo General Hospital Building
Still in use, and an architectural sight to behold, not many people ever get a chance to see the this facade. The reason? It doesn't front any of the nearby streets, and access is found only by navigating a quaint urban park.
"The original building on rural High St., containing 4 wards with a total capacity of 100 beds, faced westward, toward Ellicott St.
It was the first, and for nearly a quarter century, the only teaching affiliate of what we now know as the University at Buffalos School of Medicine and Bio-medical Sciences."
