Ice Sailing
When the conditions are right, there's no better sight than to see people ice sailing at the Outer Harbor. This event usually occurs in late winter when the colder weather meets the occasional rain. This ice smooths over, the wind kicks up, and you have the right conditions.
This stretch of the Outer Harbor is also great for windsurfing in the summer and snow kite-boarding in the winter. There are also a lot of ice fisherman out towards the NFTA Small Boat Harbor.
