You might not realize that this location is a gallery until you walk by on a select Friday evening and see it packed with young artists and designers. The owner of the gallery, Brad Wales, is also an architect and professor at University at Buffalo.
Gallery 164 is home to not only some very unusual avant-garde performance and built works art, it is also home to the learned students who comprise the city's creative class. This is where public art takes shape and eventually gets built before it ends up out on the street. This is where dancers interact with objects and lighting and music. This is a place to look out for if you're ever in the Allentown art-seeking mood.
