Buffalo Boat Share
The concept with Buffalo Boat Share appears to be especially appealing for School Teachers- since they may be the Skipper/Member and the Crew are the Students! (Crew is Free)
The Teacher/Skipper brings out his/her Crew on a regular basis; Match Racing, Character Development, Exposure, Team Work Training, Increased Motivation and Development of Trust among your fellow peers. Other topics may be covered as well.
In return, the Teacher/Skipper may reserve boats for private use, with our on-line reservation system. A huge benefit.
Crew is encouraged to participate in our "Saturday Free Sailing For Erie County Kids", which will earn them Community Service Certificate.
Our Volunteers provided many "Sunset Sail Cruises" which were donated to local Charities to help them raise funds
Anyone with an interest in our "Buffalo Boat Share" Program may apply- we have a Committee evaluating each Application, and when approved; "Good Bye Hassle- Hello Fun!"
If you don't have the required A.S.A. BKB 101 Certification, we will teach you; 18 hours on the water training will enable you to sail in light to moderate weather in a keel boat 25-26 FT.
Season is May 15 October 1st
Last season we had well over 550 participants in total!
