Henry's Lounge
The first time that I ever saw Henry's was at a party called Juicy. When we walked into the bowels of the music hall I was overwhelmed with the hidden dynamic space that I immediately felt was one of the most contemporary venues in the region.
While at the time I was transfixed by the lighting, the boomerang bar, the curves, the performances etc., I have since seen photos of the space set up as a banquet lounge and am thoroughly impressed by its ability to revert from a performance venue to a modernist banquet hall. From the architects:
Hamilton Houston Lownie designed this multifunction venue which expands the design vocabulary established by Eliel and Eero Saarinen with Charles Eames in 1940.
Located in the lower level of Kleinhans Music Hall, this flexible space provides a 125 seat capacity for fine dining, private parties, seminars or meetings, and is supported by a full-service commercial kitchen.
On performance nights, the lounge and restaurant are a lively gathering place-to-be-seen for concert patrons.
