Flurrious! Festival

Flurrious! Festival

Winter festivals are back in Buffalo, and this time the Olmsted Parks Conservancy is preparing to launch an action-packed, weekend-long, snow-packed event called Flurrious!

The family-friendly spectacular starts with traditional spectator sports such as a bike race and a rugby tournament. Those looking for alternative activities such as international snow tennis, quiddich and igloo building will not be left out in the cold. It doesn't end there! Join in on a game of snowshoe softball... or play a round of snow golf or kickball.

Venture through Delaware Park on X-country skis or snowshoes, both available at the Parkside Lodge. Additional events include an ultimate Frisbee match, blacksmith and lumberjack demonstrations, ice skating (bring your own skates), curling demonstrations, sleigh and carriage rides and snow sculpting competitions.

For those looking to enjoy this winter wonderland, be sure to warm up throughout the day in front of the restored Parkside Lodge fireplace. After warming up, head over to the beer and ice wine tent (with live music) or grab a bag of kettle corn, or even relax with food, coffee and hot chocolate at The Lunchbox Cafe.

Could it be any better? Yes! Look out for the chuck wagon serving up hot bowls of chili! And don't forget to snap a family photo with the Flurrious! mascot as he roams the festival. This is gearing up to be a truly unforgettable annual festival that will help to put Buffalo back on the map for its snowy celebrations!
