If you've ever wondered what this stunning modern glass conference room is on Allen, it's home to one of the city's leading architecture firms.

"This expansion project is a reflection of the firm's commitment to its thirty-year location in the historic Allentown district.

"HHL's offices were housed in a 2 1/2 story
residential masonry structure, built circa 1860. It was renovated in 1968, the year the firm was formed. The adjacent properties, to serve as this latest expansion project, are a combination of a 2 1/2 story residence, circa 1860, with single story commercial store front (seen here) added in the 1920's.

"The design tied all three buildings together
as one office, and introduced new entry,
lobby, conference, and office spaces as a
continuation of the firm's evolving language of design. Raw fiberglass walls, painted steel studs, exposed structural steel members, floating wood stair treads from recycled wood joists, natural maple reception millwork, and the custom designed conference table of steel and fiberglass were all used to reflect the office's architectural abilities and unique style."
