Cultural Walk of Fame

Cultural Walk of Fame

If you're ever walking down Elmwood Avenue and you're passing by Bidwell Parkway, stop and look around for this sign. It marks a series of plaques cemented into the sidewalk - each plaque pays homage to a person in the Buffalo community who has contributed to the cultural scene.

The Cultural Walk of Fame was the brainchild of art supporter Charles Griffasi Sr. Through his hard work and dedication, the city's cultural heroes are recognized on a daily basis. Mark Twain and Robert Creeley are just two of the people solidified into the sidewalk... take a walk down Elmwood to see the rest.
