Flowers on Brayton

One of the things I love about the West Side of Buffalo are the creative flower gardens. Sometimes the community comes together to plant on an abandoned lot, while other times an individual property owner will add his or her floral sensibilities to a streetscape.

Being an avid cyclist, I do spend time navigating many streets west of Richmond Avenue. In recent years Brayton Street has seen a bit of a renaissance. Not only is it one of the streets that winds up at Urban Roots and Five Points Bakery, it is home to a couple of unique houses as well. One house has a masterful green roof. Tho other... the one seen here... has displayed recycled (car tires) flower containers curbside while blanketing the facade in flowery motifs.
