Lakeshore Lookout
Whether by car or by bike, this is a neat little stop located at the mouth of the Niagara River in Canada - a 5 minute bike ride from the Peace Bridge. There's a small parking area up top, with a worn trail leading down to the water's edge. From there you can get a good vantage point onto the Buffalo skyline. It's hard to imagine that you are just a couple minutes (by bike) from the Peace Bridge.
This is a better stop early on in the season before the seaweed accumulates. Not that there is a lot of it, but at the end of summer it might get a little smelly as the small piles dry out in the afternoon sun. Either way, it's a fun place to see and the first real waterfront access that you will find if you're heading from the Peace Bridge.
Do a search on Navigetter for 'Beach' and you will see that not far from here are some beautiful sandy destinations.
