Jacobs Executive Development Center
The Jacobs Executive Development Center at the Butler Mansion was established through the generosity of Jeremy Jacobs Sr., chair and CEO of Delaware North Companies. The center is operated by the University at Buffalo School of Management and is part of the school's mission to provide services, training, and educational programs to business located in downtown Buffalo.
Designed by celebrated New York City architects Mead, McKim, and White, the Butler House was completed in 1899 on Delaware Avenue's "gold coast" of lavish residences. The family of E. H. Butler, founder of the Buffalo Evening News, occupied it for sixty-nine years. The mansion was renovated by the Delaware North Companies, and in 1999 generously made available for use by the University at Buffalo School of Management.
