Cross in the Park
Cyclocross is a sport that incorporates a track similar to motocross tracks, but is made for cyclists. Also known as Cross or CX, this particular race takes place in November at a location within Delaware Park - at the Ivy Bridge to be exact.
The course is just short of two miles and is very spectator friendly. Conversion and cyclocross bikes are recommended and 'no bar ends' is a must. The event is just one hour, but is extremely fast paced and gnarly. To learn more, visit race sponsors, Campus Wheelworks, on Elmwood Avenue.
The track is also used for practice on Sunday mornings at 9am and Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.
