Soundlab

Looking to discover the music scene in Buffalo? Make Soundlab your first stop. That is where you will find the most talented experimental musicians in the region. Some may be from the area, while others are touring acts that would otherwise never come to the city.

If you're into the experimental, Indie, contemporary avant-garde sounds, you must get to Soundlab to discover all that awaits you. Soundlab is a non-profit venue under the umbrella of parent organization Big Orbit Gallery (search on Navigetter). It's offsite location is in the architecturally significant Dun Building (search on Navigetter).

The mood that permeates the space is dark and moody with a dance floor, classic bar and lowlit wood booths. The mixing boards are always hard at work as are the light shows and video enhancements. The entrance is in the back of the building where you will also find a small park where band members and concert-goers mingle. The actual setup is in the basement of the Dun Building, which makes the ambiance even that much better.

The music venue is near the Erie Basin Marina, Pearl Street Brew Pub, The Webb Lofts, and The Bison's Stadium.
