B_Team Buffalo
The B_Team is a community of young leaders who create and execute high-impact projects
aimed at creating a sense of pride and civic engagement in the City and Region of Buffalo, NY.
The B_Team will inspire the residents of the Greater Buffalo area to work collaboratively and play an active role in our community. We will be the catalyst for change, enhancing the quality of life in Western New York through advocacy, partnerships and exemplary leadership. The B Team will create a movement driven by civic engagement to instill a greater sense of pride in Buffalo's future generations.
The B_Team was formed in early 2008 by a small group of Buffalo residents. They all had slightly different motivations for being involved, but in the end, the mission became the betterment of our region.
We don't want to be the only ones doing what we do. We have always had an open door - work with everyone policy. We have partnered with many great organizations helping them with what they do best.
After 2 years, our numbers have grown and continue to grow. We are the future of WNY.
A Snapshot of What We've Done:
The National Buffalo Wing Festival - Delivered and served over 70 tons of wings to almost 200,000 people.
Buffalo Homecoming - Spent a weekend instilling pride in Buffalo with volunteers and logistical planning.
South Buffalo Community Table - Collected food and donations to feed the hungry.
Olmsted Party for the Parks - Provided volunteers to assist in the execution of the Olmsted Parks' biggest fundraiser.
City of Light (Signature Project) - Decorated homes and business with 50,000 lights and fed 300 people for the Holiday.
Doat Street Clean Up (Signature Project) - Revitalized a 10 block section of Doat Street near Shiller Park.
