Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts
There are some, including me, who feel that this is the best art festival in the united states. That's an all encompassing statement though. The reason? This art festival is so well thought out, it's kinda scary. Every aspect of the event is geared towards art appreciation, supporting our community, befriending the earth, and it's super kid friendly.
Let's start with the arts. At this festival, all art mediums are appreciated. As you browse through the 170 artists and craftspeople, remember that there are also dance performances, live music, environmental displays, cultural rows, healthy foods, and thought-provoking Kidfest (with Sunday children's parade).
I guarantee that this festival will be one of the most inspiring cultural events that you will ever attend. If only life worked like the Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts!
The festival takes place the last weekend in August.
