To the best of my knowledge, this is Buffalo's first Iraqi restaurant. Shish Kabab Express serves Middle Eastern food such as kafta, hummous, fattoush, falafel, kibbeh, tabbouleh, shwarma and Iraqi kabab and bread. Quite possibly the best 'hummus' in the city. And the fresh bread made in-house is unreal!
Apparently there is a growing demographic of Iraqis living in or near North Buffalo, partially due to the many refugees who have found their way here. Many of the local delis are stocking Middle Eastern goods.
Shish Kabab Express is bright and clean and the staff is very friendly. Open 7 days a week!
