The GLBT Pride Parade
The Pride Parade takes place in early June. Thousands of supporters come out to witness the festivities each year, as they line the sidewalks to see friends and family members show their pride in who they are and what they believe in. Over the years the community has been rallying in greater numbers, as they too come to watch the sights and sounds that go hand in hand with the event.
Line-up begins at 11 a.m., and participants organize at the back parking lot of the Belmont Shelter Corporation. It is located at 1195 Main Street @ Dodge. The parade route then heads toward Elmwood where it takes a right and heads for Bidwell Parkway. At Bidwell a massive party/concert ensues that takes place the rest of the day (usually 2pm to 6:30pm). Click below for additional Buffalo Pride events as well as parade route.
