Japanese Garden in Delaware Park

The Japanese Garden in Delaware Park is one of the treasures of the city. A tranquil oasis, it is located a short walk from Buffalo State College, just behind the Buffalo and Historical Society on the shore of Mirror Lake. The garden is a gift of Kanazawa, Buffalo's sister city in Japan, and a stone lantern in the lake is a replica to the stone lantern in Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa.

The Japanese Garden also contains several dozen cherry trees, evocative stones, islands, and other elements of a traditional Japanese garden. So, whether the garden is on your next walk or you spend some time there in quite meditation, you are sure to find yourself refreshed and invigorated.
